Star Wars: A Galactic Pop-up Adventure

An Incredible Star Wars Adventure!
I always believe that pop up book is best reviewed by showing it to you rather than putting it into words, because words simply are not enough to describe the amazing, intricate, astounding pop ups that lie hidden in every page. and Star Wars: A Galactic Pop-up Adventure is no exception. Matthew Reinhart has done it again with style! (and yes, it has a lightsaber that lights up when you open the page!) In comparison with his previous Star Wars pop-up book (entitled
I LOVE Matthew Reinhart pop up books
I LOVE Matthew Reinhart pop up books. I have almost all of them, and am working on a full collection. These are my Christmas gift to the family every Christmas. Keep in mind that these books are NOT really meant for young children. They are designed for adults and older children who will appreciate the engineering and design efforts that go into creating a truly stunning pop up book. They are more akin to a work of art than a toy. The pages are very intricate, and you must be very careful when turning them or opening new spreads in order to make sure they fold back up properly. That said, this book did not disappoint! The spreads are all well designed and illustrated, and they highlight all of the most visually interesting aspects of the movies.
Pop-up HIT!
I ordered this as a gift and my husband LOVED it. It's so detailed and the illustrations are amazing! The pop-ups are truly ingenious and the light up saber at the end was a hit! He proudly displays this among his other Star Wars items, and we're already looking into ordering more of Reinhart's creations!
A really great pop-up book.
I bought this for my husband to read to our daughter at night. He loves Star Wars and she loves to watch the movies with daddy, so this was a really great gift for both of them to enjoy. They already have "A pop-up Guide to the Galaxy" so this was a great addition to the collection. The book is very detailed and the pop-ups are intricate. We purchased on sale for $20 and it was a steal. They don't love it quite as much as the other one, but that's mostly because they are less interested in Episodes I-III and they are more interested in Episodes IV-VI. This book seems to me more concentrated on the first three episodes.
Every square inch has something amazing to look at
OMG!!! This book is totally magical. I'm a huge fan of Mathew Reinhart and Rorbert Sabuda books and this one totally blew me away. Every square inch has something amazing to look at. There sooo many pop-ups, and descriptions of the Star Wars world. The paper craft and engineering... I struggle with the words to describe. So many colors...Buy this book, buy all of his books. Do it now! Also, these are not kids books, these are small pieces of art.
If you are a Star Wars fan you will LOVE this book
If you are a Star Wars fan you will LOVE this book! Matthew Reinhart does a FANTASTIC job with his illustrations on this book! I LOVE it! This is the SECOND Star Wars book by Matthew Reinhart that I OWN! The AUTHOR is WONDERFUL! I STRONGLY recommend this book! You will NOT be disappointed!
Pretty amazing book- best ages 8+
Bought this pop-up book for my 6-year-old grandson who loves all things Star Wars. At the end of the book there is a pop-up lightsaber that changes color to represent Darth Vader going to the Dark Side. The pop-ups are pretty complex and visually beautiful - and fairly easily damaged or crushed. Truthfully, age 6 is a little young for this book, but I knew that going into it. But my grandson still treasures this book, drooping pop-ups and all.
Love this book
Love this book! Purchased for 5 year old son who recently began interest in Star Wars. Each page has multiple pop ups with great detail. Our son has learned to handle gently- and always finds something new to explore or ask questions about. The book also includes a color changing battery powered light saber as a final pop up.
Star Wars forever! (If you keep it safe)
Amazing survey of the Star Wars world, so story isn't emphasized. The pop ups are well constructed, but these books are not for little kids. They will destroy the book. Some of the pop ups need adult hands to access safely (for the pop ups)..
Fabulous
For the current price i can't fault this. Infact i would buy at the original price of ~$40. This has given my son hours of enjoyment already and it's only just arrived today. The sheer detail and amount of pop-outs is astounding. Well engineered book. Would make a great present also. I will surely be pestered now to buy the other 3d books in the series. Much better than a video game or other mind numbing toys. This is fodder for a clever mind.
